SPLENDA safe or not.......

Hundreds of millions of people globally use artificial sweeteners, which are commonly found in a wide range of food and drinks, including food for diabetes, cakes, milkshakes, soft drinks, and even medications. Splenda (sucralose) is marketed as a superior sugar substitute for diabetics and weight watchers because of reduced caloric absorption; its drawbacks prove greater than its benefits. It is 600 times sweeter than sugar, has multiple side effects, and studies show it may increase obesity, damage healthy gut flora, and interfere with drug absorption. Splenda is not natural; it is a chlorinated artificial sweetener. Splenda was discovered accidentally while trying to produce insecticide - a convincing reason to avoid it. To maximize health, consider using small amounts of sugar or stevia when needed, and avoid sugar substitute.
