Fruity cake-For this Diwali

Ingredients
100gms whole wheatflour
50gms sugar substitute
2 tsp freshly ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/4rth tsp salt
50gm apple,grated
50 carrot,grated
1 mashed banana
25 gms walnuts
25ml olive oil
25 ml butter milk
2 eggs
Method
In a baking tray,lightly toast walnuts at 150 degrees for 8 mins and then cool it.Mix whole wheat flour,sugar free,cinnamon,salt,baking powder and walnuts.Fold buttermilk,eggs and oil in a separate vessels.Take the grated carrot,apple and mashed banana and toss in little oil with light hands.fold in banana mix and egg mix.fold in all together and bake in a preheated oven at 170 degrees for 20 mins.

celebrate this festive season with Beetroot Halwa

If you are craving for gajar ka halwa and gajar is not in the season,you can still fulfill your desire.Beetroot halwa is the substitute for this.Its taste is no different from gajar ka halwa and nutritionally rich too.Those, who don't love to eat beet as salad or include as vegetable,will also love to have it.Try once...
INGREDIENTS
1/2 kg beetroot, grated
1/2 litre low fat Milk
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
Nuts (sliced almonds)and Raisins (4-5) for garnish
substitute sugar with sugar free natura
DIRECTIONS
Wash and grate the beetroots. Take oil in the pan and saute the beetroot till it softens a little, approximately for about 5 minutes. Add in the milk. It will bubble up as it boils. Cook on a gentle flame for about 20 minutes stirring every 5 minutes. Add in the sugar free. Cook until all the milk is reduced and has been absorbed. It will result in a mushy mass.
Add in raisins and freshly crushed cardamom seeds and sliced almonds.
Serve warm.
