Power Dosa


Its winter time and we are getting nice winter vegetable like Spinach and methi.These greens packs high amount of iron and folic acids which is good for your skin and hair.
So here is an interesting recipe with spinach.

Ingredients-

Washed and chopped spinach- 100 gm
Basmati rice(soaked over night) - 1 cup
Garlic paste- 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Green chilli -2

Method- Blend the soaked rice,spinach and green chilli. Now transfer the batter in a bowl, add salt, garlic paste and some water according to the consistency. Mix it well. Heat  non stick tawa, sprinkle a little water on it and wipe it gently using a cotton cloth. pour the batter on it, spread it in a circular motion. Smear 1/4 tsp oil over it along the edges and cook on a medium flame till the dosa turns little  brown in color from both sides.you can serve it with chutney.

Beetroot  is one of the  healthiest  root vegetables. when consumed, carotenoids present in them boost skin health and help it to glow.The best way to achieve maximum nutrition is to eat them raw in salad or in juice.

The idea of cooking them is no less in taste and nutrition.This soulful recipe given below will definitely
trickle your taste buds. And you will not feel that sharp and earthy taste of beetroot also.


Beetroot salad.

Ingredients
2 small beet root ( peeled and cut into small cubes)
50 g scrambled cottage cheese
1 tbsp  mustard sauce
salt to taste
lime juice 1 tsp


Ingredients

steam beet roots. Take a small bowl add mustard sauce,lime juice and mix well.Take a large bowl put steamed beet root cubes pour in mustard lime mix. Add salt and mix them well. garnish with scrambled cottage cheese and serve.

sweet potato fritters

Many of us like to eat sweet potato but refrain from it thinking its fattening. if you see the other side, sweet potato is nutritious also.It helps collagen production, skin moisturising and hair growth.
Ingredient
Sweet potato- 1 cup grated
Quinoa flour- 1/4 cup
Spring onion- chopped 1/2 cup
Ginger- 1/2 tsp
salt- according to taste
Red chilli flakes- 1/4 tsp
Method- In a large bowl combine the flour, sweet potato, spring onion, ginger,salt and red chilli flakes.Stir the mixture together until combined. Now make small patties out of this mixture.cook fritters in air fryer for 4-5 min.serve warm with green chutney.

Vegan Protein Rich Recipe


As the name suggest this recipe is vegan and rich in protein.Highly recommended for people with protein deficiency.
Ingredients-
Steamed sprouts - 1/2 cup
Soaked Almonds- 10
Coriander- 1 fistful
Garlic - 2 cloves
Green chilli - 2
1 tbs grated beetroot-for garnishing
For Dressing-
Lime juice - 1 table spoon
Honey- 2 tsp
Take honey and lime juice in a small bowl and whisk well.
Method- Pound the Soaked almonds,garlic,chilli,and coriander. Now keep aside,take a bowl put steamed sprouts in it ,add pounded mixture,pour in the dressing and mix well.garnish with grated beetroot.

Lettuce chicken wrap

Lettuce chicken wrap is a very tempting and interesting recipe for a change and comes as a handy meal when you are very busy in your work.Being rich in protein and fibre, it keeps you full for long hours.

Ingredients

1 tsp olive oil
100 gm bone less chicken, chopped into very small pieces/ tofu / paneer
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1/4 cup onion( chopped)
1 carrot ( cut into thin slices)
1/4 cup purple cabbage finely chopped
2 green onions (chopped)
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp roasted and crushed peanuts
2 ice berg lettuce leaf

For the sauce:

1 tsp sweet chili sauce
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 teaspoons naturally brewed light soya sauce
1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

method

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium flame. Add chicken pieces and cook till tender.Add garlic onion,salt, black pepper and stir occasionally. Then add carrots, cabbage, and green onions, and cook for 2 more minutes.
In a small bowl combine the sweet chili sauce, ginger, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper. Stir until smooth.
Add sauce,cilantro and crushed peanuts to the mixture.Toss them well.
Spoon mixture into individual lettuce cups and wrap it.
